Does anyone know anything about these? I've seen an advert in the paper for a puppy, only 3 weeks only I think and the owner wants £300. I've had mungruls in the past, so how do these compare, are they easy to teach etc and are they good for protection?
Cheers

Lovely dogs pal PM Boschman he knows all there is to be known on these lovely dogs. Obvisouley in the wrong hands as with any dog they can be a danger. I have a Victorian Bulldog and is the softest and calmest dog i know, Though if i beat it and crap i imagaine it would be a bit mental.
Ask to see the pups parents i saw both mine and all associated paper work etc what comes with the dog. If they dont have any stay clear especially with dogs as these.

...for a start the pup cant leave its mum until atleast 7 weeks.....you have to be very firm with them if from good stock (dont know about bad stock ones as i wouldnt buy one)...you have till about 15weeks of age to shape em...best in pairs this then gets them ok with other dogs..they dont like chidren due to same level eye contact in my experience...but again bring one up with a child you should be ok...BUT i wouldnt as i dont agree any big dogs should be allowed with young kids.
...very strong, intelligent and stubborn...females are a better guard, but males are more viscious.
..best dogs in the world except they fucked the breed up by the no docking rule unless they working dogs
..the rottie had no tail for a reason...and it cant be cruel to dock if you can dock a working dog

I just dont understand why people want to take the risk with dogs like this.
Get a Staffy, they look hard but at least they are good with kids and you can take them out without worrying they are going to rip some child to pieces.
Look at that woman in the news at the moment, she let the dog in because it was shivering and crying at the door, it goes straight in and rips her grandaughter to pieces....
Was it really worth the risk..... I dont think so.

you disagree because you havent got a fookin clue what your talking about.
you have not had to deal with the aftermath of a working dogs injured tail, which can and does very often result in amputation.
amputation of a tail in an adult dog is extremely painfull and distressing for the dog and should be avoided if at all possible. tail docking at three days of age is the way to avoid this. at this age the tail is nothing but a bit of grisle and causes the pup the minimum of discomfort. but as per norm in this country the do gooders know best.

I figured you would keep making fake internet warrior threats till you eventually shat yourself when someone actually took you up on one, at which point I reckoned you would probably stop doing it as much.
My logic and education were once again flawless and you were as predictable as any other dumb animal
we had a rottwieller once until it got out an got knocked over by a transit van and wrote the fucker off, mined he was huge, my neighbour left the garden gate open.
gentle as could be three of us used to sit on his back and he would walk up the road we were only 3 at the time.

Love the way rather than a proper reply he just has to try and insult people rather than give good reasons.
I knew i shouldve just said...
"Why do you like to have their tails docked? easy access to the love holes?"

Dont just buy from any old number in the back of a paper IMO.

Phil, you used to take the dogs to Sarfend.. I remember pulling up along side you in your RS400 and seeing what I thought was the mother in law in the back... only to realise it was actually a dog sitting up like a person....
HOWEVER...... if you did open a Rottie Welfare sanctuary and did some good for a change instead of just boasting about how much money you have and how great you are... I for one would be very proud of you as its a very worth while thing to do...
But are you sure you wouldnt just turn it into some sort of dog brothel ?

,a breeder and police dog trainer for thirty years told me it does not harm the dog in any way,he used to use the elastic band method, before 3 days of age .....totally harmless to the dog but then again to these whom say its wrong, what does he know????
they think they use a butchers knife the way they go on
but phil your method of three months must be painfull as then the tail has muscle tissue surely??
and your quote of big dogs around small kids is a joke,i and my brothers and sisters since we where babies where brought up around dogs, mastiffs, rotts,g.shepards, dobermanns, argentin os and many more
