TIME ATTACK
hi mate, i think there was 4 fords there, one white escort that went out in the morning practice, the reylands cars were there but martins escort went out in the first run in the afternoon, his car did not look like it had the pace as the other cars out there, the reylands sierra lasted all day and looked like it did quite good, also the blue escort off here looked like it did well in its class, did not get no times unfortunately

Congrats to Kev, nice to see a MAD car do well for a change
There appears to be some serious machinery at these events, also curious why Simon was not there in his Evo, who won the Pro class ?

I only went to see the Ford boys do there thing
But the Japs boys were all over it, the RC EVO'S were Mad
The Reyland 3 door didnt let out a puf of smoke all day and just kept on goin, the Blue Escos Was
Best looking Escos ive ever seen..
We need more Cossies out there there was a black Scooby that finished 6th i think and he only had 450bhp, nothing like the other cars, IE 600-700+ bhp most cossies are running that as standard these days.

what you have to remember is how old the chassis design is compared to the jap stuff.

but it driven to the events and ran ok, not broken and Renton has enjoyed himself in it and thats the main thing
It should be in club class really with the spec but the organisers just whacked it in pro. Pros get alot more track time so Renton didn't moan!
Going to work on a few things over the winter and car will be back a little faster hopefully
Massive well done to Warren for doing so well and also Kev Atkins for ROMPING home in club class

Much as I think the geezer is a class A cock, if someone concentrated on Time Attack the way Rod concentrates on Top speed stuff, a Cossie COULD be built thats VERY VERY competitive with the top boys.
You also need a Top driver.... I am hoping Tommy Field sticks some big power in the yellow car and does the event next year. Top car and I hear the biy can peddle a bit as well. Nice fella too
If Martin develops his car, Andy Gallacher gets let in (which he will) and Tommy competes and I convince Scotty to run his new car you WILL see a Cossie win at least one round of Time attack I am 1000% sure!

It would be great to see a good Ford up there but I think it will be hard work,
I think even the club class will be very difficult and I think you should be looking at the tuner speeds this year and the club will be very close.

now you just need yours and chalie shaws and thats a awesome line up
sod the rest of the field, i would pay just to watch you chaps all have a play
Lee, don't be suprised to see Tommy out at some point next year (complete with more than 450bhp LOL)... he's itching to get out and compete again - and yes, he can certainly drive
Well done to all the Fords for having a go! Gutted for Martin but it could have been a hell of a lot worse by the look of it...
If they let Andrew Gallacher compete they'd have a Ford that would be up there I'm sure as it's built properly and Andy is bloody useful behind the wheel as well...

The Nissan was only 280hp and on 4 year old tyres , they seemed matched for 6 or so laps , old and new together always looks fun .

i know it would be his home track but andrew as quicker times in his old escort at knockhill than the pros were running this year.and im sure his focus is quicker than the escort.sure hes does a 52odd and pro class were 55 something.so the fordies may do ok
