engine!!
hello guys
iv just bought a orion it was ment to have an xr3i engine in it been looking around it and i have never seen a 1.6 xr3i with the dipstick on the front near the exhuarst manifold.
what do you guys think?

does it hav a cvh head on it then,does the dipstick come up near the pulley end of the engine atall

its ment to be im new to the ford engines really lol
its the mfi injection unit i think the engine is a 1.8 bottom end with a 1.6 top end 4 higher compression.
help lol

hmm sounds like u got a zvh bottom end?cant remember where the dipstick is on the 1800 cvh is tho so it could be one of those i suppose

why u gonna change it then it might b a bit more pokey then a 1600 cvh but again if ure not sure then might be a good idea

tbh honest mate its wank its seems proper fooked top end aint bad but pulling off seems sluggish.

oh right fair enough,maybe better changing the engine at least that way you know where ure at with it if something goes wrong atall

yeah me and my mate starting it tommorow we will put it in projects if you want to follow it its our first project and engine conversion what can go wrong

all the wiring is fucked in the orion at the min if we have any trouble we will ask
we need to find an engine winch tommorow

ok mate thanks erm one qustion to start will the mk3 wiring must fit into a mk4 no probs rite ?

erm not 2 sure on that 1 mate im afraid ive only had mk4s but i wouldnt hav thought it wud be that bad just follow the wires and sensors and label them up and you should be fine

yeh am going to get the rear windows tinted a light smoke at sum point just dont want it looking more like a hearse than it already does lol
