Default What Brake Pads for AP's?

I currently have red stuff pads in my AP's and I find them really terrible.

What do you use and what do you mostly use the car for ie track, road etc

I will use the car mostly on the road with a few track sessions.

The redstuff are way too hard for my liking. Other options please

REDSTUFF way too hard??
How do you mean, I have used these for years, but recently changed to YELLOWSTUFF, RACE pads for the road, as they work from cold and stand a lot more abuse.
If you find reds too hard try greens, I just can't beleive that anyone finds reds hard.
I have used DS range and think they are crap with NO FEEL, take too long to warm up and work correctly, then fade five minutes later and glaze all the time, then crack and flake away.

i have just put yellow stuff on my car for Croft track day,and i have no trouble with the red stuff pads either.

i don't think the ds2500 pads are that bad for normal use or track use,but i suppose we all have our views.

Very true, we all have our own favourites, how did you find the yellows as not actually used them on the road yet ?
I see Warwickshire POLICE have just bought a load(yellows) for unmarked scoobs!!

I found the DS2500 to be great on my old nova, never had problem although with 310mm 4pots on a 700kg car I'm hardly suprised

Size of car is probably an issue too, my mate was advised to fit DS3000 fronts and DS2500 to the rear of his GTR for his trip to the ring.

Being a huge and heavy car I would say it would need that where as that setup on a smaller car wouldn't work as well as you describe tabetha

I've personally never had a problem with EBC pads, I was an angent for them around 5 yrs ago and sold plenty of their pads, their discs though are a load of crap, anyone that used their car hard always warped them inc myself.

Depending on calliper there may be Carbotech pads to suit - excellent pads. I run XP8s, but they do an XP10 race compound to.

Much better than DS2500, no pad deposits. Quite dusty but consistent and very good brake feel - bite well and don't let up at all.

I have CP5570 Calipers - Carbotech CTST60XP8 pads.

I must admit I don't use EBC discs as mine always warp.
I always change my discs at every pad change anyway, which is about 5000 miles!!
