Default Am i gonna be joining NMS?..What spec?

Now......my car at present flys but a held 26psi i feel is to close to the limit of the greys......or am i being greedy? The wheels spin in 2nd all the way to the limiter and thats using Yoko tyres and the Mike R camber mod...

2 options both involve Karl .....shall i give or receive..opps i dont mean that as i aint that way inclined even though his dance moves alone are considered in the NMS camp to be the biggest turn on to blokes ever...now i know why they go by the name "NMS camp"

I digress......i can either change the chip i am using now to a Karl one which will include a mapped anal for a big spike (me) to a little (him)...the reason being is he will do the chip to my exact spec using more fuelling up the top end which i am currently worried about...as the original chip it has they didnt know much about this turbo so aint sure what i got (waiting on e-mail reply)...its PF you see making me paranoid ...and Karl DOES talk like he knows his shit so looks like i gonna try him out to see if he does!...Although i do have little digs at him i will never forget his easy setup vernier cam timing advice i got one night!!!

So thats the first option..the second is to run 8 greens as i already use the WRC 8 rail and KNOW i got enuff fuel without ever worrying (sub loom already there)...This is where Simon @ SECS comes in again IF he wants me to try before i buy this ECU S8 for some feedback....Karl can map it via e-mail to get a good map..so all i got to do is check the fuelling at my local RR

I guess it all depends on SECS.....i dont want to run the car at the mo..i want an NMS chip or S8 NMS map then setup at my local RR.....So simon whereever you are can you let me know ASAP (have already discussed this with him)...if you decide not to NO PROBS as i will just stick to greys for now then convert to super 8 later on

Why don't you first take it to Karl and get it properly set up as is, and Karl can then advise you on what he thinks about your fueling limits. If these are unacceptable, then you can go 8-injector .

Jim..if i wanted shite advice i'd call you direct...999 and ask for the fire department ROFL Now go away you annoying little twonk!

Mike.........i am DIY...i just need the chip,i set up myself...via my RR down the road If it all goes wrong i can ONLY blame myself,i thought you knew this by now

TRB......i will go S8 to go 8 injectors as the trade i will hopefully get is much cheaper than converting L8.

Phil,
PLEASE take my advice on this occasion. Get the car properly checked and set up by Karl - why your reluctance to use someone off this board? .

DIY? So you're telling me you operate the rolling road and make all the adjustments necessary? So what's the fucking difference with getting Karl to do it, rather than your local RR you goon . At least both the fuel, ignition and boost control would be mapped to perfection . Sometimes, you really are a twat of the highest order and I wonder why people bother trying to help you .

Wicked do you STILL reckon that your car is the ultimate road cossie and is faster than mine everywhere apart from on the track???

Heres a hint, wheelspinning is NOT a good thing for going fast Traction is

That's where you're wrong tho Mr Manning as Phil is on Level 27 of the drifting competion on Need for Speed underground and regularly nips down to the local Maccies/KFC to perfect his technique in front of all the pubescent 14 year old, creole earing, adidas tracksuit, rockport wearing sluts

Mike...do i tell you how to take a shit? Dont worry bout my car....if Karl can sort a good map out and he seems confident hecan..then all i need to is get the fuelling checked down the road on the rollers and get co set...as everything else i can do like all sensor issues and fuel pressure etc etc..You been to long with head up someone elses arse ...If i go NMS it will only be for the chip nowt more

Porkie...only running 215's at the mo...plus theres more gonna be worked on ..it WILL beat your 600bhp car in every situation on the road bar motorway hang on....no probably even motorway once your 4x4 system saps up al the power , when finished

TRB........i WANT 8 i like 8 plus they are cheap for me compared with 4 bigguns that ARNT bosch

The world is full of tuners! Its a very solid conversion been going for years...i had it..many people still got it.

As for 4 being safe...what happens when a seal leaks a tiny bit on one injector when your flat out?..MELT DOWN...your also find many who run 4 (because 4 greys do 440bhp!) have twin pumps...again one of them could fail..causing MELT DOWN....cossie tuning is by no means fail safe whatever conversion there are pros and cons...

Just remember, no flat out runs then . Karl must be very good to know the airflow capabilities of your very unique turbo without checking it in the car . Unless he does it properly, I think you are a fool to do it this way . We all know you built the engine, so there is no shame in getting it mapped properly . I can just see that doing it your way and not letting Karl do the full business, may result in a poor compromise instead of getting the best from your car . Your call though - obviously your motto is "why have silk when you can have cotton" .

Are you that reluctant to meet new people ? It's not as if Karl can duff you up is it, he's shorter than even me (although I did hear he has a gun and Martin has hired him to take you out ) .

Off the shelf chips will never be perfect aslong as it dont run lean up top and dont det So it will be set up the best it can....infact i think you are belittling Karl abit I think he knows without keep reprogramming a suitable map.

The collins is running fine....i will get that setup if this all fails...i am sure this is fine......but i'd like to try a Karl map.

Will..i am talking hyperthetically Do you think i'd actually prove it? ROFL

You are properly insane If you want to try a Karl map get him to do it properly, unfortunately this means that karl would have to put up with you and your shonky built car and for this i am sorry karl - but i'm sure it would work out best and he might be able to advise on a whole load more to make it even better!

I'm sure Karl will tell me if i am belitting him.

If i were Karl i would tell you to fook off and go buy your off the shelf chip somewhere else! If he left you to do the fueling etc...and it went bang you would blame his chip so whats the point in him taking the risk in the 1st place

He has said i must get fueling checked so if i didnt it would be MY fault unless he sold me a duff map....just to get his own back,so infact i probably taking the bigger risk!

phil, i fear i know the answer to this already BUT why not just drive up there and then let karl adjust its new base map as required after road testing it with the monitoring equipment on?

mines been done like this loads of times after things have been changed etc

any custom engine NEEDS a custom map

youre being stupidly stubborn imo

Still waiting for Simon to get back to me.......to make final descision though.....thequestion is will he get back to me today like he said!

Incidentally Stu...when is a car most likely to meltdown if you have a suitable off the shelf chip for ones spec and dont bother checking fuelling but making sure all fuel pressure etc is correct?

The answer...when you are in 5th gear holding it flat out. How many times can you do that using a 400plus BHP cossie on the road?...For me..ZERO i aint even got into 4th yet! ROFL....3rd gear is far too illegal on A roads
