Default Oil cooler hose sizes....???

What size is recommended for a Stage 3 Cossie setup using an air to oil cooler???

The Rad I have has 1/2" Bsp connections but my existing system uses 5/8".

I accept that 5/8" is probably the best option, but I want to use a Stat so am stuck as to how to connect the 1/2" Bsp cooler to the existing 5/8".....

Ive looked to see if anyone makes a hose connection that screws onto the 1/2" but which then has a hosetail that fits 5/8" hose but no luck so far........

Failing that ive looked for a female 1/2" Bsp to female 5/8" adaptor but no luck there yet either...........

Ive also emailed the likes of Mocal and not had a response.

Hoping somebody on here as sufficient experience of Oil cooler systems to be able to help.

Cheers

Change the cooler for one with 5/8 BSP....

Has the cooler got fixed fittings?

On my first cossie, I ran a5/8 setup, with remote filter and stat.

Might have to look at selling it if there's no other way around it.

Right, think Ive solved it............

Apparently I can get a Thermostat that is like a sandwich plate, which can go between the filter and housing on the remote filter housing.

This has 2x outlets which can straight to the Oil cooler.

£7 for 2x aluminium weld on 5/8" Bsp fittings, and then i'll be able to use 5/8" hose and fittings...........
