Email virus's

I got a dodgy e.mail that said it was of Ebay but it wasn't. Opened it before checking and a load of illegible shit came up. Has my pc now got a virus or downloaded a spyware program?

run a virus checker and a anti virus checker mate to be safe

Did you click anything within the email ? If you didn't you should be ok. Opening an email shouldn't cause a problem, its if you open files or click web links in it.
