focus rs ABS problem
the ABS light wont go off
bled all the brakes.....twice
the only thing that i can think of now is that after the crash the drivers side abs lead got sheared in two by the calliper.....got a new one, wired it up but the lights still on
would the brain need re-setting because its registered a fault in the past? like it does if the airbag goes off?
cheers, andy

No, they self-test every time you turn the ignition on.
The ABS leads should have a resistance of 1100 ohm (approx) when tested @ the plug where it goes into the loom.
Check each plug in turn. If they are all reading the same value (give or take a couple of ohm) then there is a problem with either the ABS ECU or with the wiring in the car.
