Spiky, do you think you can loose 8 decibles in a distance of 5m ?

Donington is 98db so 87db is less than half the noise level they allow, i personally don't think its possible, most cosworths at donington are about 97db also.

Not trying to put people off though, but £140 is a lot to waste, i think Donington to flyby laps for a noise test to be honest.

a STD mongoose isn't 97 on a fly by though,

and a std mongoose is around 90 on 4500 static test.

as i'm pretty sure mine was when i went on combe with it.

The passengers have to pay £25 b'stards!

Can they pay on the day if they want?

On a drive by there is more to consider than the exhaust tho, some M3's break the meter from induction.

CC has a 98db drive by tho doesn't it ?

BTW there is a massive difference between static and driveby.

Sorry mate, but its not that simple. It depends on what Turbo and what boost you are running and other factors like the age and condition of the exhaust.

2Bar on a T4 with a mongoose on Seans car sounded like Concorde on takeoff

ah right didn't realise that, mine was a brand new turbo t34.63 and brand new mongoose, both were about 3weeks old

I'm a little concerned about the noise limits, but I've never had a problem before on the Redline days.............

Never seen the Metro black flagged for noise ?

Mine is always borderline and has to get re-checked in a drive by test with a Bedford official sitting beside me (boost then turned right down ), but has passed so far on every occasion (touch-wood).

Cola,
I think you may find that if you leave it too late, then it will be full. The spaces go very quickly....

palmersport are well known for being strict with their noise levels. they've got bastard neighbours who complain to them if you fart and the wind is in their direction

don't risk it folks, get it checked out with them beforehand, and maybe even take some universal silencers that you can bolt on and hang from the boot or something.
