I'm after a networked drive mate, probably 1TB.

I'll have a look at Dell, but guessing they won't do it - although PC world are selling them

hi dude,

being able to browse your files from the new, sounds nice, but thats a very big security risk, so i advise forget that

have a 1tb then mirrored halves your storage

startign as mirrored then stopping from mirror, the result will depend on the device, depends if it is inteligent or not.

or the simplest idea would be stick a secodn drive in ya media pc

Cheers mate.

I'm not going to stick one in the MC as I want to keep it all separate - the MC get's turned off quite often now. If I'm on something else in the house it would be nice to have access to stuff, or save anything I want to keep without having to go turn on the MC.

Point taken on security.

Think I'm going for:

Don't know on RAID yet, as thinking about it, I'm going to need to do proper backups of important stuff.

Tommy's gonna end up deleting it soon I'm sure

What do you recon on us coming over?
