Default Have you/Would you buy a new car

Ive always said theres no way id lose all that money buying a new car...

But,

After looking a various cars this week im wondering wether or not we should! Every car we have looked at has either not been up to standard, or not had all the things we would want it to have if buying that particular model..

Buying new means you get a mint car obviously, and tick any box you want to spec it to what you want!

I really dont know now, is it worth it. . i just think of all the immediate loss

Depends on what kind of money you have, depending on the car you can loose some serious cash, mate of mine last 10k in a year

That's a lot of cash, he is now stuck with the car for a few years

I wouls say that if you will own the car for 5 years then yes do it, but if you sell cars after a year, then no.

lee i can have a word with a few peeps at ford and see if they know of any good ones for good prices

shame you dont work there,,, i was gonna buy a ford st3 with a few options for 16k new as the new sales manager had to increase hes staff car sales for some reason but i bottled it

one of the other sales guys bought one though and it got "lost" during delivery

Loose tooooooo much money far too quickly......

oh another thing, the bumpers for the fords are painted in another country to the actual cars

have a look at them and you will notice they are ALL the wrong colour to the car unless it was damaged on delivery ( we smashed one when taking it off the trailor,,, drove too far to the left off the ramp )

the orange ones are the worst followed by the silver ones

its anoter reason why i never bothered

basically the build quality was shite and aint hard wearing

21k new or 17k used thats 4k, you could have all the marks touched up and have it minted for 1k so that would only be 18k

Remember mate, it is VERY hard not to get the odd mark on a car in everyday use nowerdays, your brand new shiny car will be worth 17k in one trip to tesco's

Im sure it will Dave im just thinking out loud really. I DONT actually want to spend that much if i can, but thats the limit. Id like to get something a lot cheaper but i dont see the point in upgrading to something that we dont really want. If we are changing the golf for something, then we want something that we REALLY want if you get me????? and all the nice stuff costs

looked at new shape 3 series today too, and i cant make me mind up on em tbh...think i prefer the last shape

can't you do an option type thing, have it for two years and give it back?

Yes you will probably pay what you would loose on a new one over the two years, but atleast you wouldn't have to sell it, just give it back.

If it gets dented, who give a

If you want a minimum of boot space don't go for the Audi Altough an A4 might be a bit bigger then the focus, but less practical.

I have to drive an Audi A4 (2004 model) now for a few months, and i don't like it.

No steering response etc...
