Default injectors for 550 bhp

I can get a set of 870cc (83lb/hr) Siemens injectors at a good price. Are these big enough for 550 bhp, as that's what I'm aiming for, or do I need 1000cc's??

If it's 1000cc's I need.... I can get a set of 1000cc delphi injectors, does anybody have experience with these?

Thanks

Friend of mine dynoed his cosworth engine with those 870cc siemens injectors. 560hp on a Dyno Dynamics rollers and the injectors were little over 90% open ~AFR11.6. The delphi ones are also okay, but be sure they are flow matched since the differences can be horrible.

it mike be advisable to have a chat with your mapper, as he may favor one type over another!

It will run on autronic SM4, and the mapper doesn't favor one brand over the other. It's just that I can get the Siemens ones at a good price, so I favor those LOL.

If the Siemens can go to 560, I'll give them a go then, I will check on the flow matching though.

Thanks.

I would use either the Siemens if they start running out of duty run .5bar more pressure or run the RC engineering 1000cc units,
I dont like the delfi/msd/holly units as I found these to vary spray/flow to much for my liking.

Not sure how the fuel pressure works on a cossie, but on standard fuel pressure on my Scoob (2.5ltr with a GT30 turbo) I maxed out 800cc injectors at 500bhp (ECU was asking for 110% duty cycle). Car now has 1150cc injectors fitted and running at sub 70% duty cycle at standard fuel pressure, leaving me plenty of headroom for future changes.

Engine type and spec come in to acount with fuel flow/power being made, I normaly get 75%@500hp on a cossie, I ran ROds @4bar fuel pressure and was only seing 85%@707hp on pump.
