Default Best pads for trackdays?

Asking on behalf of a mate thats going to take his mk5 rs2000 on track.

Car is running standard discs so whats the best pad/compound to use?

Fluid will also be changed for one with higher boiling point.

Cheers for any advice

i would say the DS2500 for standard discs, they are plenty hard enough

the discs will wear out before the pads

I have found Ferrodo DS2500 to be excellent for combined road, track and nordschleife use

Can be a little non existent when stone cold, i.e. 1st application at the end of the road but they soon warm up!

I use mine with Tarox 40 groove discs...

Dust is not excessive, you only really notice a lot after a trackday or long non motorway road trip. Dust is a reddy pink colour

DS2500 pads i've also found very good, never had a problem from cold either.
Excellent pads.

1155s are GREAT on a std disk for that car...

If he wants a little more go upto 1166s or even 1177s

They eat disks - BUT - as you can use std disks and they are cheap so what!
