Once in a lifetime opportunity.......Just driven.......
.....my mates new Aston Martin Vanquish S.........
OH MY GOD!!!! Couldnt believe my luck!!!
He phoned me up & said fancy coming for a quick spin.......I was like....erm.....let me think about that......Y E S ! ! !
We went one junction up the motorway in the blink of an eye, very impressive - I was quite happy just sat in the passenger seat, came off up the slip road & he parked up a garage & said - right you can take it back if you like!!!!!
So there I am with £120,000 worth of new sports car technology, V12 producing 500odd BHP under my right foot and the only way back to where we've come from is the motorway again........
So I did the only decent thing.......and obeyed his request which was 'as soon as you get on the straight.....foot down & lets have it'......and I did! LOL!
None of this turbo threshold cosworth boredom malarky lol.....foot down & your stomach feels like its in the back seat........the speedo rising quicker than the rev counter! LOL!
Adrenaline still pumping now....legs like jelly!!!

Its the identical model to this.....same colour same everything.....
Only touched 14xmph, didnt really want to push my luck!!! LOL! But it came up in flash......and a smooth flash at that!!!

Closest I came to an Aston Martin was when we got to use the valeting bays at my mates work and 2 DB9's were turfed out into the rain so we could clean a pair of Fiesta's the day before FITP. Would love his job of working with Jags and Astons all day

Was still a funny ass sight kicking 2 out so we could get our cars clean
Found another couple of pics and the ones on my phone of the two cars that were moved have the numberplates above the bumper and the Aston Badge is smaller

Testing the future
the vanquish is superb - i got to drive one about 8 years ago before they were in mass production. i now have a set of rear wheels and tyres in my garden as plant pots

I was fortunate enough to go out for a day in a Vanquish HP (The S Prototype) and it was pretty impressive. It certainly a lot more raw than the DB9 and the Vantage and not something most people could live with on an every day basis.
The engine also fits into the Vantage.

one is short and stubby with a v8 and the other longer, wider and overall quite a deal bigger with a v12
