Pirelli Pzero Nero & Toyo Proxes T1-R - any good?
As title are they any good? Both are fairly cheap but don't want to skimp on the cost of tyres if they are naff. Cheers.

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
P zeros are awesome tyres in the wet and dry, they wear well to.
Mate runs them on his mk2 golf 16v and was amazed at the grip they offer.
Bro inlaw ran them on his leon 1.8t and now has them on his bora tdi and is equally impressed.

The Pirellis come as standard on the Fiesta ST and I always found them to be a fairly competant tyre in both dry and wet, but then I never did (well.. tried not to) anything too silly in the wet. Maybe because I drive like a biddy but my originals lasted me in excess of 22,00 miles

PassionFord Post Whore!!
i'm running the t1-r on my 3 door and integra and i find them spot on for the 3 door but the side wall on the teg tends to flex to much as its a 195 55 15 so not exactly low profile

20K+ Super Poster.
I got T1R on a mondy and a astra.
They are very good wet and dry, better than the "S" ones that's for sure.
Very quiet, comfy, last well, all in all a very nice tyre.
Pireli make a decent tyre, jesus that is news, but the zero nero is good just a bit of a shock after thier usual crap.
NB using ULTRASEAL makes the tyres last MUCH longer.

I use them both, and alternate between two sets of wheels.
The most important thing with both brands is to make sure you get the "Extra Load" spec tyre. These are the ones that have stiffer sidewalls, and are meant for heavier cars.
Just look on the trye sidewall, and make sure it's embossed "Extra Load".
Grip is superb with both Nero's and T1-R's, and I cannot pick a clear winner. The Pirelli's have better "feel" (at the steering wheel) and are friendlier on the limit. The T1-R's have a bit more grip but give less warning when on the limit of grip.
