ECS monitors
The ECU DATA MONITOR is a device for monitoring the ECU sensors and engine performance. This was designed to give the driver information about the operation of the engine as seen by the actual engine managment sensors. This unit is wired in parallel with the ECU and so does not care which type of ECU or chip is fitted to the car. (Does not support EEC4 cars yet). The display shows real time data of the sensors in numeric and graphical format and also records peak operating data. Data is displayed on a backlit Black on yellow LCD and operation is with two push buttons. The unit continuously monitors sensors and checks for faults as well as user adjustable alarms and when a fault or alarm occurs, an output is energised to drive a lamp or buzzer to warn the driver of possible problems. The user can set alarms for HIGH BOOST, HIGH CHARGE TEMPERATURE, HIGH COOLANT TEMPERATURE, HIGH BATTERY VOLTAGE and LOW BATTERY VOLTAGE. In addition to the monitoring, control of a water injection pump comes as standard. This is controlled by wiring an external relay to drive a pump and the user can adjust all settings required to drive this such as boost pressure and charge temperature. Supplied in a black or gray plastic box or an in dash bezel to replace factory fitted clock (Sapphire and 3 door installations). For an extra Ł10 can come with blue screen. Price INCLUDES for UK delivery.

get a collins monitor far far more avanced and save you loads on fuel when you take fuel out of the map (if you know what your doing that is)
People would be better off getting it mapped properly mate...

SECS are AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!
Was so happy with mine..
The ONLY THING they need that they dont have is oil pressure
If they had that, then they would be the best mod for a cossie,BY FAR!!!

but just want to sell it now i put the new engine intercooler and gearbox in FFS cars think it will be a ESCORT next !!
my secs monitor was never right and was never fixed as back up is not there full stop !!!!!!!!!
coillins pro are not Ł350 to me and they just plug into the main loom no hassel fuking around with wires !!!!!!
does wide band ,4 extra inputs, oil temp, presure fuel, egt, tells you whats fuked when car wont start
rev counter reads in real time not a 2 second delay like the secs or rp labs
i was very happy with mine i could tweek my fuel map for crusiing as closed loop and hi temps is not what i want on track car so collins lets me take fuel out for my norway trip and i was seeing 300 to a tank
so its payed for itself on my road trip
each to there own i guess

Brom, surely thats the whole point of Closed loop lambda ? Stu ?
Although I've not used it yet I have gone for a Pectel monitor, not specifically for aiding mapping but mainly monitoring the engine, combined with a Stack and a wideband you would have to be a fool or have REAL bad luck for an engine to let go imo.
After viewing my mates Power FC on his GTR over the last few weeks its changed my mind on keeping simple guages, I'm just not 100% confident on mapping which is why I would leave that side of things to Stu but surely no matter who maps it you could still have component failure possibly leading to a engine failure.
