Well said Stu!!!!!
I kind of know what you are "up against", since I'm the Admin, and only moderator of Ford Club Denmarks website and forum... It's far from what you got your hands on with PF, but I still know the constant critisism and bothering people it comes with (and of cause the nice people like me self as well )

Let me just say this to ya; You ROCK, PF ROCK and the helpers you got; ROCK
no doubt about it!!!
- we are all human, most of us that is, and therefor we have our oppinions, even though some have Moderator titles, sometimes personal feeling and oppinions will shine through, and thats how it is! Who ever doesn't understand that and/or can't deal with that, needs to go elsewere

just a little piece of my respect for your, and the other guys on the PF job

BTW: being a goldmember is cool thanks for that as well!

Ive only used the site since i got my cossie in february, i read ALOT more than i reply to.
Mainly reading and learning, but not forgetting (and possibly more importantly) reading some of the funniest things and having a good laugh
Some of the arguements get abit long in the tooth at times and seem to surface over and over again, but its bareable.
I would also like to say that i also think at times some mods have abused their power (often just for a laugh, but i think thats still clased the same) and sometimes do come across as bit biased towards certain things, but thats only to be expected really. (as long as it doesnt get out of hand)

To sum up.... wicked site, wicked people, top info source, and no question the best forum on the net ive been on.
I only wish i didnt work nights and were able to get to some of the mid week meetups, it really does make u feel abit left out at times when everyone seems to know each other offline

Thanks for all your kind words folks, it is appreciated

Back to serious matters:
Looking at the views the "**TO BE READ BY ALL USERS BEFORE POSTING ON PASSIONFORD**has, it is plain people ignore the title, so here are the contents of that topic for all who havent bothered to read it

-------------------------------------------------------------
PassionFord Discussion Forums: Terms of service.

Without prejudice we reserve the right to block or remove any material that offends any of the above principles.

Please note: Users are permitted only ONE username. People found to have registered more than one will have all memberships terminated.

2a. Victimisation/Abuse of individuals.
This includes publishing, distributing, circulating or otherwise propagating any material, which may be deemed abusive, offensive, anti-social, racist, sexist, distressing, harmful, cause anxiety, be of a threatening nature or be it of a general nuisance.
Furthermore, any messages found to insult, discredit or bring disrepute to a Moderator or Moderators will be removed and the poster banned at the moderators descretion. Victimising, citing and/or hateful posts, as well as any private retaliation against a single member or a group of members is strictly prohibited. Messages found to contain private or personal information will also be removed / censored at the sole discretion of a Moderator.

2b. Your language and the use of profanities.
As its important to us to keep a community atmosphere of a fun and banterous nature, we feel it would at this time be inappropriate to ban all swearing completely due to it being a generally accepted part of the everyday English language in use today. However; We do require a few simple common courtesies be employed.
Do not aim swear words at other individuals, keep them to a bare minimum and also in context.
Please do not use swear words in the title of a Topic.
The word *C*U*N*T* was removed after a members vote as ladies find this particular word offensive. All other swear words are allowed at the moment.
We are constantly reviewing this situation and can assure you that if the swearing leniency is abused we will simply activate the swear filter already available in our server software. Keep it sensible is all we ask.

3. Content posted to the Discussion Forum
You understand that all data, text, messages or other materials ('content') that are publicly posted or privately transmitted are the sole responsibility of the person from which the content originated. This means that you, and not PassionFord, are solely responsible for all content that you upload, post or email via the Discussion Forum. The views posted by others do not necessarily reflect the opinion of PassionFord.
We do not control the content posted via the Discussion Forum and therefore do not guarantee the accuracy, integrity or quality of the content.

Under no circumstances will we be liable in any way for content, including (without limitation) any errors or omissions in any content, or for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of your use of any content. You agree that you must evaluate and bear all risks associated with the use of any content including reliance on its accuracy or completeness. You also understand that by using our Discussion Forum and our site, you may possibly be exposed to content that is offensive, indecent or objectionable to you as an individual.

4. Our Right to erase messages and suspend access.

As soon as we are made aware of activities that breach these Terms, our Terms and Conditions or our Privacy Policy, prompt action will be taken. If you witness such breaches in the Discussion Forum or anywhere else on the site, please notify a moderator of PassionFord immediately.

On being made aware of such breaches, PassionFord may ban, delete or prohibit any content that relates to those breaches or that we judge harmful to individuals or to the rights of PassionFord, or any of our affiliates, licensors or partners;

We reserve the right to take whatever action we deem necessary to prevent such breaches including the following:
o Breaches we deem minor may simply result in receipt of a warning from a moderator or administrator of PassionFord or:
o Breaches we deem serious may result in your automatic ban from the Discussion Forum and the site as a whole.
All incidents will be logged and our decision is final in all cases.

Any breaches may also lead to us reporting your activities to your internet service provider, your employer, relevant authorities, or to legal action being taken against you, or both.

In addition we may at any time move, modify or remove any content or take further legal action as a result of breaches or suspected breaches of these Terms, our privacy policy any applicable laws or regulations or where our rights or third party rights are threatened or infringed.

Users will "generally" (Subject to administrators discression) be given three warnings (called strikes) on the third strike the moderators will all vote on a ban of that member in their own moderators section.

Should however one of the "administrators" feel this individual requires an instant ban, no votes shall be allowed and the three strike rule is nullified.

Good idea, I used to use www.ush.net alot and the webmaster there got so sick and tired of the arguements he added a flame room.

Then when any post turns to sh*t just move it the the bitchin' forum

The problems if u call them that our caused by the same repeat offenders, u have nms v mad on here all the time and whilst to some it looks funny, i would suspect to most it just looks childish. Why dont u lot take all ur cars on the same day to brunters and have over with, after that no more shite in the main forums or sarcy comments on each others posts, the times wont lie so u have no excuses, if ur car aint ready then shut up till it is!!!

One other thing i think needs a bit more moderation, is all the comments about homosexual activity, i dont care much for them as many of u dont but when ur reading a decent interesting topic and then u get 5-10 posts of just pure shite
about performing homosexual acts on each other is just childish imo.

I for one find it embarrassing when reading at work cause it lowers the tone and respect that RS cars have as performance motors and makes this site appear to be full of "CHAV`s" and the cars that many would have associated with them.

Other than that I dont see any other probs with this site.

Yes mate, but as i ststed earlier, PF averages 1400 seperate visitors EVERY day, so:

1) How many of those 1400 reading the thread do you know?
2) How many know you all know each other and are joking?

We have to start looking at the larger picture because of PassionFords pure size folks. Consider the masses instead of the few friends..

Please let me state im an not anti gay nor gay myself but I am grown up enough to let people make there own choices and get on with there lives, I do not particularly care what anyone types in there own post. But when im reading about l8 ecu`s or a technical topic and then the next 5 replies im reading about is someone being buggered then that is wrong imo, however if a thread topic with that content was started then no problem cause I and others could choose to avoid it.

I believe and agree humour is good for the forum, used to love the way it was on the old rsbb, ie mike r, scots lads etc v stef the cossie killer, scooby lads etc.. way back when most of u where not online to see it that was banter at its best.

No prob for comments Stu.

Ranj then u will know exactly what i mean by the banter, ie remember the removing of the rear wing on escort cossies was cheating on top speed runs etc.. lol Some good banter and if u r honest u will say its far from that now, a lot of personal threats, insults etc.

gurne, im not saying get rid of the jokes just when someone is postind a decent topic and good replies are coming then 2 or more peeps of whom the thread is no concern ruin it, thats the context i mean.

Personally I have found the NMS vs MAD debate quite amusing but I can see how it goes on and on, and i think there is a fine line between the banter that goes on and when it becomes a little too personal.
At the end of the day the mods do a very good job and even the new ones such as Gus seem to be making a great contribution in the difficult role that they do.

Stu chin up m8 try not to let it get you down(i know this is easy said than done)
you and the rest of the mods do a good job 99.9% of the time as no one is perfect
and there are gona be times when people fall out but we are all adults at the end off the day so if people acted like adults (Ima)and stop postimg up threads which are obviously started to cause trouble then we might get back to how we were a few months back a happy community of car enthusiasts

Stu you Pett and the mods give up your spare time for this site and i thank you for this as without all youir efforts passinford would not be here and i would be very bored in the evenings and i would not have made loads of new freinds

so heres to the happy future of passionford the best bb on the net imho

i think it would be a great loss if stu pulled the plug on this site. People will never agree totaly and there for should just button their lip if they want to cause trouble. The suggestion that stu set this up with the intention to cash in is ludacress if it wasnt for this site no doubt that a lot of people would never have met and become friends sharing the same ford interests. I personaly think the mods do a top job as its voluntry so come on lads giv em a break and lets all play nicely Stu m8 i think well done

I think you do a great job, and can't believe you keep this site and your 'proper' going at the time When i want to know things i even get worried about pm'in you as you must be soooo busy!

If people want there cars tuning ring the people up who tune them and ask there opinion, fair enough read peoples experiences of the tuners, but arguing over who is best becomes sad and irritating people!!
