Do you have to have side repeaters by law and to pass an MOT, im getting the car painted over the winter and was looking to get them removed, what is your opinions on this

 

I think as the car was manufactured after 1985 you are required to have side repeaters. This is why some S1's have them and some don't IIRC

 

as steve says, although mine is an 85, and has none- think its late 85 tat the law came in!

 

Could i get done with the police or will it just not pass an MOT

 

If the police were picky they could do you under the Construction & Use act (I think it's called ) In all honesty mate I would be inclined to say leave em be and just fit red coloured repeaters so they don't stand out so much.

 

always wished i had smoothed mine out due to the de handled bit! recon'd it would of look a lot better!

it wont pass a MOT but that never really bothered me

as for the old bill! if they were gunna b coonts they will find somethin!

 

MOT wont be a problem coz my pals aunties brothers uncles dogs pal works in the MOT test station, more concerned about the cops
