i never said there wouldnt be any surge mate i dont know how this engines going to perform with this new turbo im sure Euan will let us know as and when

i was just trying to point out that Surge is not down to the turbo its down to the head not being able to flow enough air whitch mean the front of any turbo having holes cut in it wont stop surge or help surge.

Fitting the M3 box is bit harder as the bell housing isnt detachable from the box but I think it can be done as we considered it for mine.

i have about 1k set aside(dont tell my soon to be wife ) for the box and clutch and your set up sounds great,hate the speed of gearchange with the t5 anyway and dont want to go strait cut.
