All this ALS talk has made me wonder again, WILL a Garret GT series turbo handle a mild ALS setup? Anyone with personal expirience on this?

Any turbo will, as long as you monitor the EGTs and do not allow them to exceed the maximum recommend temps that the turbo manufacturer has stipulated as being "safe" for the turbo in question .

Exscuse my ingnorance, but how do you have/get a MILD anti-lag?? does your mapper map it to various stages then? i thought anti-lag was what it says on the tin.. obviously MILD would save on turbo life yes???

The amount of:

Airflow

Retard

Extra fuel

Thanks Stu..

But surely a mild anti-lag is pretty pointless? i mean WRC cars wouldn't have there cars running a mild anti-lag, they need to have fully blown to gain those 1000th of seconds..

you just answered your own question in a way

in wrc, if it breaks they replace it, money isnt an object

mild anti lag is to help prolong turbo life so customers dont keep coming back saying "it blew up after 2 stages of my local b roads"
