FWD Ford 60fts usually hover around the 6.9sec area.

Why Chris ?

The Key is tyre choice and heat in the tyres at the start.

I ran as close to a 1.9 with a 2.004 (around that) with Yoko A539 and a F18 quaife LSD, stock xe and 100 shot of gas with zero build time. I also ran rose jointed tie bars to try and keep things as tight as possible.

Gaz'd has ran a 1.9 60ft in his Corsa on the Goodrich tyres he uses iirc.

Fit some proper rubber, do a proper burnout and you should run a 1.9.

Its not rocket science but to improve on a 1.9 is going to cost a few quid or put you into the wrong category if you are competing with slicks.

GavStyli 60 ft is 18.3m so you need to be looking at your times after the ones measured at about 14 m but before the 28m ones.

if you plotted the figures on a graph you could get a closer estimate, but it would only be an estimate.

but you can see that it's going to be well into the 2's anyway

For a cossie on a standard beam 2.2 seconds is a bloody good time sadly!

Danny B was doing 1.5 or 1.6 though no doubt on his mustang rear end.

My mate Mick does 1.5/1.6 in his vauxhall viva

On the other hand, my mate johnny does under 1 second in his pro-mod, so it really does depend what sort of RWD car you mean?

If you mean good like a 1.9 is good for a road legal FWD (its awesome really), then 1.6.

2.2 ! fook me I'd of thought you could do loads better than that tbh.

I could never get a 1.9 60ft but I never used anything better than ditchfinders or yoko a539's which aren't exactly drag radials or even semi slicks.

Without doubt I would of pissed a 1.9 with a sensible set of tyres and probably broke into the 12's too which would of been nice.

so you dont think as stock they will improve?

after a re-map will it improve or is it just launching technique?

surely if FWD can get into the 1's then a RWD should be able to?

Why would its 60ft times improve without it gaining grip or losing weight?

cheers fella, although with the better tyres low 12's 'should' be achievable along with the new adjustable front arms to finally set up castor and camber
