fao braided hose ppl
i was just wondering if anyone has made their own
brake lines before? was it a success first time round?
sitting her stressing about a fitting coming off a pipe etc.
if it dont leak the first time its pressurised does it mean its gonna be ok for ever.
wont know til next week but i dont need a problem as my fuel and oil cappilaries are made the same

yep i made mine, being a plumber prob helps i got all my gear from think auto, you can make them exactly to what length you require then, plus its a fair bit cheaper, just make sure you get the olive on properly and dont get any strands of overbraid stuck underneath it,its easy

i put them on fine i think . are you supposed to trim the strands right to the bottom of the olive or can you leave them run up the outside of it a bit?
seems to tighten up a bit better when you leave them run up the side of it.
mine are goodridge i think

braided is easy to make, you just need to be methodical about building them up and making sure the olive is right and the braid is tucked up right too
and make sure you get thr right hose for the right application, or if you are doing more than one run of hose for brakes and oil and stuff, buy one lot and get that done first before you make the other lot up
and no, they don't get hot as far as i could tell, but i didn't put my hands near them when i went on track
