nope, never on a car unless its got a stainless steel manifold.

had too many blow, on countless different cars, and theyve never blown again once ive removed them.

Cossies, R5GTTs, RSTs, S12s, S13s, S14s, etc etc, ive either owned or mates owned, and removed them and been fine since.

Dont really get why they there considering the amount of ones over time ive blown.

i hope that would be the anwser as ive never had ones on mine until some prat over the road said it was deffo needed.

if its cast on cast, then its soft enough not to need one... but if its a S/S manifold then you will need one!

Roosie yours hasn't got one because they were never built with one.
Aa stavros says cars equiped with them have trouble.
Can't blow a gasket if you haven't got one.Unfortunately you cannot apply this principle to a cossie head gasket though lol
