Redline TOTB 6 final update- team reps and competitors to read please:
To all- some important final info for all team reps and drivers to read- a separate email with the event prog times/info for spectators will follow tonight for your forums if you wouldn't mind posting it up please.

For drivers and team reps:
Weather- the event will not be cancelled and we will still run!

Pro drag cars will not be allowed to run on slicks if the surface is damp/wet.

Pitlane layout- Competitor cars/trailers/support cars parking:
Due to the amount of rain this last month some of the grassed areas around the competitor pitlane we usually use are very waterlogged in places and unsuitable for vehicles and marquees. Elvington airfield owners have now taken action and roped off certain areas where competitors usually park trailers/support cars/marquees, to prevent cars driving onto these waterlogged areas and getting stuck. We have to comply with their wishes and ask all competitors to respect this and work with us to ensure the pitlane is kept open to traffic and useable. Therefore competitors with trailers will be asked to swiftly offload their car and then move their trailer to one of two safe locations; one is in pitlane top area next to the marshals. When this area is full then other trailers/support cars will have to be moved to a second designated area past the trade stalls and against the furthest fence to the left of the handling circuit barrier, where support caravans etc are parked. Both areas are secure.

We need all competitors/team reps to work with us on this, as there will not be room to allow trailers/support cars to be parked on the hard standing toward the startline area in pitlane.

This also means we have had to extend the top of the pitlane area, as there is more hard standing area there for teams with dropside vans/marquees etc.

Please note- Any competitor who wishes to erect a marquee/use a large van or dropside to work from must do so in the designated area at the top of pitlane. The usual busy section of pitlane toward the drag startline will not be available for marquees/drop sides/ vans this year. We intend allowing only single car parking (competitor) in this area or the section will become blocked and impassable to competitors. This is for the benefit of all drivers so please take note.

No exceptions will be made, the grass areas are no-go where roped off in that section, and the site manager will be controlling this section of pitlane. The extended areas we have opened up as you enter the competitor section are fine for marquees/vans etc and have some grass parking, and we ask/expect all the larger team squads to assist us by using this section fully this year.

Similar restrictions apply to genuine support cars, these must be kept to a minimum please as you can appreciate, and can only be parked in designated grass areas in pitlane, not on the hard standing where genuine competitors will need space. Any support cars left in pitlane which are taking up room designated for competitors will be removed (i.e. dragged if reqd).

Cars/vans will get bogged down if driven behind the ropes onto some of the grass sections so do not remove those ropes. We have extended the pitlane area top section to give people more room.

Drivers- please note- reminder check list:
Documents- road cars-Helmet/race suit if applicable (read regs!)/tickets and pass for car. Please read your regs for event times and other information. Don’t bring bald/illegal tyres and expect to argue the fact with the Scrutineers!

Leave your car parked up tidily and unlocked for the Scrutineers to check it between 8am-10am. You must be parked up, signed on and scrutineered before 9.45am, then attend the driver briefing at the startline area. Immediately afterward all competitor cars must queue in pitlane for noise testing. Signing on is in the large green portakabin located straight thro the pitlane and to the left by the toilets/fence. Driver briefing is held at the startline area, if you miss it you may not be allowed to race.

Race Stickers- at signing on you will be given a set of stickers for your car. One is to be clearly displayed on the REAR of your car. If it’s unreadable you may not be timed correctly so ensure it’s centrally mounted on a flat clear space where it can be easily read from behind. If mounted on a sloping rear screen it may not be easily readable!!!

Door and bonnet stickers are also given and must be fitted to all cars.

End of qualifying- untimed runs:
At the end of qualifying untimed runs will be allowed until approx 10mins before the shootout finals. If you have not qualified please park up at this time to allow cars through pitlane. Shootout Finals start at 4pm prompt; this year if we call up qualified competitors and they do not attend in time then a bye will be given to the other competitor. Handling shootout is top 4 cars overall and the road class drag finals are top 4 in class.

Trophy presentations:
Will take place around 5pm in the Redline Marquee. We would ask all teams and competitors to stay on if possible and attend the presentations to congratulate all the winners and the team champions. A list of trophies and awards is included for team reps. Competitors using Turbo Dynamics Turbo’s and/or Aquamist water injection are eligible for additional trophies and should contact us at the presentation if you think you may have won a prize, as we do not have information on every individual competitor’s modifications.
