so if you have one of these on a shot peened diff and the box is either a mullet or quaife what do you do when you go launching it and a driveshaft snaps?as thats next in line isnt it?
Replace them with some uprate GKN ones .

how much are these and do you supply them?

You'd have to speak to GKN, I haven't needed any yet - I never get a chance to break them .

Yes, if you remove the ATB and replace with the standard open diff they DO .

A drain plug would add to the price - you could always do this yourself .

These are standard at the moment, as someone told him removing the ATB diff would make it handle better - however, it had the OPPOSITE effect .

Yes I have one, along with thickwall casing and Alumec strengthening plate. I can't comment on how it handles without, as it was one of the first things I did to the car when I bought it - I only went to the Ring once with the open diff and as that was way back in April 2002, so I can't remember what it was like without.

However, Lee's car understeers for England on the standard open diff .

Without an ATB - read comments above

With ATB the grip is there, but the car feels more like a big power FWD car when accelerating hard IMO, "squirrels" up the road and tends to point you in directions you weren't thinking of heading towards

BUT..........once loaded up with some lock on (mid bend) and on a steady throttle there is just some very mild understeer and very good grip. This is all on a road car with road tyres, R & B fast road geometry settings.
