5th is .83 in Tremec & .8 in T5 so close. The Tremec TKO 600 is about £1700 I believe but im sure someone will correct me if im wrong. Its cheaper now than 8 years ago because I had a standard TKO modified to suit UK gearing, it was modified in the States before delivery now you can buy it off the shelf as a TKO 600.

Has anyone thought of using a supra box?

The ones out of the squarer old shape turbo can be had for pennies and I'm sure i remember from some where that they are popular with the drag boys and are good for mega bhp (well the torque that you get with it).

Not sure what the output shaft is like?

hi rod

the Tko 600 can be got cheaper than 1700

im defo going TKO 600 as it's rated at 600 ftl bs +20% ill never blow that thing for a start i would never see 600 ft lbs of torque anyway

it has also elctrionic speedo or mechanical speedo drive

but the one good thing with the TKO it's a normal "quite box " which is great for a normal road car and the 0.83 isn't a problem for me

it's worth the hastle of fitting it most defo it has the same spline pattern as My T56 which is 26....1/8th spline pattern

i know i have to do the belhousing /prop/gearbox mount /clutch

but thats the samw with most aftermarket boxes

I agree with you Marco its the correct solution & I find it difficult to understand why it was not fitted to more cars. For years I was told how crap it must be & others fitted different boxes but 8 years on some are now fitting them & im sure in the future it will become the norm.

i reckon £600 tops
i can supply box /adaptor plate and prop end for £350 , then you will need to modify the bellhousing abit , mainly drilling other holes in etc ,make up a spigot bearing adaptor as the jag box has a smaller dia spigot, get a prop made and extend the gear selector , thats about it ,
