Remote central locking key?

Remote central locking key?
The remote central locking on my Audi A4 that i have just bought is not working of the key. How much am i looking at to get it sorted? Its a P reg and its the Audi key not an aftermarket alarm.

Only got the car this morning so not tried a new batt yet but last owner said its been dead a while, guessing recoading. Will it have to go to Audi or do you think an auto-sparky can sort it?
