hello peps

just bought a van got it on the drive and cam belt just gone
now i have called a few mates and they reakon its a bitch to do can anyone shed some light on this cheers

how hard is it to do ect

belt is easy...

but it probably knackered the head - the valves hit the pistons and push the cam out the head ruining it.

easy to do, the heads are easy to, when the belt breaks on these they cause alot of damage normally, ive had lots break camshafts

just had one in at work put a belt on it and its missing like thiers no tommorrow
and the belt snapped when trying to start it this morning

my old escort van did that cost the boss £750 to fix then me and the boss had a huge fallout when i told him he needed to get the vans serviced every year and that the belt shoul have been changed at about 40k the van had 75k on it lol he then told me anyway they service the van when they do the mot! he actualy thought they did i couldnot believe it

Piece of piss to do, make sure you change the PUMP belt as a lot leave these and it is often them that snap and take out the cam belt with it.
If you can't do one of them you should give up, they really are that easy.
