Default Pic request- Cossie sump and empty sierra engine bay

As title really, trying to see where there is sump clearance issues on a sierra, ie where crossmember, steering rack, etc etc gets in the way, as i cant remember for the life of me.

Well, iirc the hump is at the front isnt it? But still cant remember if means its the middle or the rear or both where things are in the way.

I'm sure most Cossie owners have a pic of an empty engine bay if they've owned it for more than a month so you'll be ok on that one

sierra sumps have the big bit at the back, with some engines also having a bit of an overhang on the front

if you are thinking of transplanting, you migth also want to find an engine with the oil pick up at the rear

This ford V8 i got needs to go in a sierra really, as its easiest, at mo its got a double hump sump, bigger lump n pickup at back, smaller at front, which by your explanation dojj, sounds ideal

Basically as lots of different size n shape sumps are available, i wondered if id need to change em, but looks like im lucky i got a thunderbird v8 rather than a mustang one then.
