Default 2wd exhaust manifold question

is there a small gasket that goes between the elbow part on a 2wd cosworth manifold? if not has anyone used sealent or anything like that ! also on the part where it bolts to the turbo? I ask this because there seems to be a slight blowing on my manifold and it appears to be coming from that area.

any info would be appreaciated

Use gaskets or paste at your peril.

A leaking/blowin manifold is also loosing you alot of horsepower.

This is the reason my car only made 352 ATW at the AVA RR day that was in PF last year.

We were expecting it to make over 400 ATW.

I had this done but bolts that hold the elbow together kept coming out.

Had enough of it so just welded it for a proper fix

the lambda sensor will detect more oxygen, and adjust the mixture accordingly, which will be completly wrong

in my experience , over 50% of cars that fail a cat test, are due to small exhaust leaks around the manifold area

final straw on the leaking manifold is when at 7500rpm in 5th on the local privat test track my oil light came on

After shitting a brick then chacking the SPA to see that oil press was fine I stopped and looked under the bonnet to see that the flames from the manifold had burnt straigh thru my heat sheild and half the wiring down the chassis leg, thus giving me hair wire dash lights
