I actually have a peak recall in my SPA of 40 psi

Johnny the car SO isnt a track car and would be useless.

I will be on Knockhill at some point but doubt any of the big english tracks even tho I have been offered track time at Ford fair byt he nice people at Fast Ford.

Gearbox looks ............ well BIG ! Is that the jag or bmw box then ?

I totally see what your saying though but atleast if it was seen on track anywhere being used slightly in anger then you couldn't be tarred with the straight line brush.

White Saphs are always the quickest eh !

Best of luck with the new turbo, seriously impressive car.

Its from a XJS and says Jaguar on the casing aswell as Getrag 265.

Its in the car now and feels just like the box in my old M3, over left hard from reverse instead of the normal ford postition.

I would put my car on track but really need to sort the back axle first to try get some traction out of bends.

Staffi...I would love a shot in a well sorted set up so maybe one day

Johnny its not dog leg. Not 100 % on ratios but its I think its pretty similar to the T5.

Abdr...Im not 100% sure how the boost is controlled on my car, I do have a boost controller which runs with the managment but have also seen the actuator adjusted during set ups on rollers.

Wastegate penny has been enlarged along with alot of work elsewhere in the turbo.

Eaun- I remember Ryan mentioning to me about the jag box, tough as anything and obviously a fook load cheaper than most other boxes.

Are you having to get a bellhousing made ?

The box was buttons compared to other options mate.

I got it overhauled and checked and it was still under 500 quid

AVA have made a adaptor/spacer plate that makes the getrag fit the T5 bell housing.

Anyway, back to the GT30 question..

I know that Kev Atkins has been running one for along time now in his Evo with VERY good success in time attack, all thanks to Sheady building yet another fantastic engine, so i think i'll give it ago, booked it in for the 20th Aug with Karl, L8 and a set of 1000cc injec

Kev now has a bigger turbo I think.

Speak to Mark about GT turbos as his engines are the only ones that dont seem to surge with the GTs.

You have either mis understood him, or he's telling you crap.

As if he can improve a T4 spool as good as a T34, then he could also improve a T34 spool up so its as quick as a T3. and so on.

its all down turbo spec, engine spec, cam timing and mapping.

i haven't played with the cam timing yet, so should be able to improve.

i cant comment on a T4 as never had one, or driven a car with one.

but my GT30 is fine. and once i actually do some testing on a RR and finish the setup, i cant comment on how good it will be.

Marco,
it might be a good rule of thumb, but different engine spec will differ that theory.

hi dan

with you i do know that if you mess about with the turbo's and the cams you can get better results

what i have quoted above was standard turbos on standard engines
