No my cams are very very far from standard.

You can buy them off the shelf but that as much as Im saying as alot of time and testing went into getting the right ones.

My power band is one of the widest I have seen on a T4 so must be the "right" ones

Ive only fitted a pair of BD10's in mine, just to try and keep it from being too peaky.

How about:

BD16 inlet
BD14 exhaust

Or:

BD15 inlet
BD12 exhaust

up to you mate, but i thought the whole point of this site is we share info so we don't all have to spend Ł1000's on every little bit of our car I have been helped out a few times by people on here, Diva and a bloke called david with lots of info on how to convert a 4x4 saff to 2wd, gave me finis codes for parts that they had researched.... a few people asked me for the number and I gladly shared it, as that is the whole point of the forum in one way

Up to you mate, If thats what floats your boat you go for it

I know what you mean wil but its taken a long time and ALOT of cash to get my engine where it is now.

I wont just give the spec out so anyone can build one.

If you want good response, keep the exhaust cam as standard . Limits outright power, but helps bring the boost in earlier.

Euan,
I bet my power band is wider - ner, ner, ner, ner, ner .

i can also understand that to some extent, but you're not in a race series where giving away information like that will help the competition or are you effectively in a race with all of this top speed bollocks?

ABDR, you've tried lots of cams but have they all been timed up correctly?

I. E. optimised for your engine spec/CR ???

My OLD engine still had over 360lb ft from 3500 to 7000 . The new engine is the same, but has an extra 1500rpm to play with, and torque obviously drops off at high rpm . Old engine (with the shorter duration cams) is still more grunty at 3000 - 3500, but you have to make sacrifices somewhere .

Abid,
People have told you, but you have then found that the ones that you have used give BETTER results on your particular engine . I had standard exhaust in my old Sapphire, at 2.2 bar it made 515.4bhp on the dyno and REGULARLY did 180+mph.
