Default whats this under my bonnet!!

ok i feel like a dumbass for asking this because i should know!!
ive got a mk6 escort si(1.8zectec) and theres this litte thing sticking out the top of the engine, its like a tyre vavle on a car tyre or mountain bkie tyre, complete with the little screw on top!? what the devil is it??

i guess it's on the fuel rail if it's a zetec - it's a fuel pressure test measurement point - you can attach a fuel pressure gauge to it to test the pressure, without having to break into the fuel line
