Please
I've just updated my iTunes and it says i have 22920 songs but quite a few of them have a ! (explanation symbol) next to the track name in a seperate column.
Any ideas what that means?
I've also managed to import some songs from my mates iTunes but its saying when i try to play them that it cannot find the original file even tho i have them as Mp4's on my hard drive
Also is there a way of deleting the songs that i have 2, 3, 4 etc.... copies of? i.e. duplicate songs?

You can delete tracks by using itunes, just click on the ipod icon once synced and look for the tracks you dont want and simply delete them
As for the missings songs, try syncing your ipod to itunes and see if that helps? A few times i've turned mine on and its doesn't find any songs!!
Once i've connected to itunes then disconnected they appear!
God knows why
Not sure about the !, could just be in the track info? Do the songs work ok?

An exclamation point means the song file can't be located. It may have been moved or deleted.
The reason you can't play your mates songs is that the DRM stops you from doing so in some case's depending upon how the media is licenced
Strip the DRM from the media and you will be OK, I obviously do not endorse piracy and hope that you have an alternative legitimate source for this media such as a CD, how are these artists supposed to support a Lambo, Ferrari and Hummer if they do not receive the appropriate revenue
