Default My cars burning alot of oil....?

ways to stop this please?

Im doing 300+ motorway miles a week, and Im topping it up every sunday night or early monday morning before I set off..

Its only a 1.3 Mini, but surely it shouldnt be doing that much oil

Should I fit an Oil cooler or maybe a decent breather??

Unfortunelty, the A-Series is known for burning oil, although a couple i had -used none at all.

A breather system should defo help, it'll stop anything being spat out and being burnt.

a mate has one running a 100bhp 1.1, and his doestn just bur oil, he has to top it up every time he fills up with petrol,

compression is still good across the pistonds though,

get a decent breather with a tke of from the left hand side of the rocker cover, but it may well be the rings,

does it smoke at all?

any obviouse leaks?
is the gear box leaking?

No smoke, No leaks whats so ever and the gearbox is fine apart from popping out of reverse

As said above, i'll just get a decent breather kit for it, or one made up
