4x4 coilovers on 2wd
what is needed to fit 4x4 front coilovers to my 2wd cossie

Won't fit as the hubs are different the 4x4 ones are bigger i think

you need 4x4 hubs.
you can get a sleeve made to mae then fit,or is that the other way around....2wd onto 4x4 or 4x4 onto 2wd.

all the same everywhere else, just where they sit in the hub,the hole is too big or too small...not sure.
one will go into the other though with a sleeve.
just buy 2wd coilovers.

the only thing different is the actual damper tube if they are bilstiens,everything else is the same,so all you would need is a pair of 2wd tubes,the insert etc will all fit into it.

You could use 4x4 hubs but u will need to have the end of the shaft still in there so extra weight

dicko, speak to rob he fitted some to his sierra using a sleeve to make the gap up, or if there cheap let me buy them for the track car!!
**edit** ignore that bollox above rob fitted 2wd ones into a 4x4 hub, he might do a straight swop tho!!!

but they would be rather thin would they not?they are essentially a stressed clamp,i wouldnt like to risk that!
