totb fwd( update)
unfortunately due to lack of entrants there will again be no fwd ford team this year at totb.team rs was a possibility,ie fwd/2wd/4x4 in one team, but agreement has not been reached.big thanks to all that attended qualifying and tried to make a team.shame on the rest of you.

It is very dissapointing to see that such a huge website and community cant even geta few cars together for what is probably the biggest thrash of the year
Possibly not such a bad thing though as the vauxhalls are likely to kick "most" things arse in the fwd class.
well doen for trying though Lloyd

Well done mate for trying. I was a strong supporter of totb fwd from year one, and helped where i could. But the last few years, i have lost interest, the amount of money involved is daft, and it really is a drag event. A fwd drag car is a stupid idea if ever there was one!
Have you thought about encoraging people to take part in fwd time attack? There is no team as such, but some freindly rivalry could see the Ford boys doing quite well in this catagory.

Sorry to be controversial, but I just wish the Ford boys would not bother with TOTB. I have been on the scene long enough to have seen how it goes. It's that same every year.
As I said before, Fords and TOTB are pointless. Sorry to not fly the flag.
Everyone is full of what their cars can do, but when it comes to it, it's the same shit. 'Cars not ready' etc etc. This year should have been all the cars that weren't quite ready for last year, but those cars have already been broken for parts in the meantime.
Good effort on your part though. I know it's not easy.

He asked WHEN it was..not WHAT is it
Radders... Sunday 29th July
You should be ok as it's road-going vehicles (supposedly, but you wouldn't think so sometimes looking at some tyres and fuel cans). You'd be in RWD section tho, so as Gus said: you'd be with the big boys.

Charlie Chalk Just don't tell them at scrutineering..see if they notice. If they don't they'll assume it's a Mk4 Escort FWD..bargain
Just don't warm up the tyres before the start by doing a burn-out.
Edited to add: am on cable modem..not slow, but everyone is reading replys quick tonight.

Serious question - can you enter if you've been converted from FWD to RWD? My cars not tubbed, but wont have standard inner arches as its basically a space frame...
But still road legal
I'll warm up with a can of Lynx and a lighter.....
But still road legal

Cars that fall outside our main class rules are now entered into a special "unlimited" Pro-drag class, ie cars with Tubbed/spaceframed front or rear ends, or cars with DOT marked wrinkle wall type tyres that are not on our main tyre lists.
Looks like you'd be in te unlimited category and probably even less chance of getting anywhere mate

Lloyd, do the event, then come back and share your thoughts. I have been there and done that and did not want to put myself through feeling as though I am in the way again.
People who go to TOTB don't want to watch 13 second cars. FACT. This has all been said and done. I will not support and pay to enter an event and be among the slowest, because that's how it will be and I'm not just speaking for myself.

I can see Christians point, fwd fords generally run shocking 1/4 mile times and dont handle that well.
Top speed is the ONLY thing that they stand a chance at imo.
BUT Had I still of owned my nova last year I would of no doubt had a invite, no way though would it of been the quickest in all 3 disciplines but I would of no doubt had a cracking day showing the capability of my car up against the fastest cars in the country

Just goes against the grain for me paying for an amature (is that the right word) invite event...
If I had a car worth entering I doubt i'd want to enter anyway, the cost v's fun factor just don't add up for me.

Tell you what if I had an Escos I'd have a go, whether I could win or not. When did it stop being about going and having fun at these types of events?

At least if I take the RST to a trackday, most people are impressed by it, not saying 'hope that shitty Ford gets out of the way to let the Skyline through'.
