I have yet to find cheapos that are any good in my HP 4 in 1.
The difference with genuine is a hell of a lot in quality terms but also cost a lot more but, there you go.

100% agree with you there about quality

i've got some tesco cartridiges in at the moment
printed something off last night and there was fk all there even tho the monitor was showing 20% left
took the black cart out this morning and shook it about a bit and hey presto it's working again

Got to agree all the cheap ones I've tried have been crap, now only use genuine HP ones

ive got an epson R300

use compatables, buy xprint, they are 100% as good as originals for me

example, was print an A4 photo, done about 2" on epson catridges, run out waited 2weeks, got some xprint ones, had to change 3 of the 6 before the picture was complete, you could not see a difference



its all in the paper tho, epson premium quality heavy weight 254gpsm

I have a HP psc950 4 in one, does colour faxes as well which is why I bought it, but don't see the colour very well at all with cheapo cartridges when receive colour faxes.
I think from what I have heard that HP are the most fussy about this.

Ive allways used epson printers as the after market cartriges are as good as the genuine ones.
