Cars with under 300bhp in club challenge mate, and many many with syncro boxes, hell, some in pro with syncro boxes...

Some cars with insane power too, but deffo dont mean they win, as they dont...

All the FWD cars are under 250bhp IIRC, as are some BMWs etc, some S13s with only about 300odd, most the club challenge care are quite sane.

Some absolutley batshit "why the fuck arnt these in Pro" ones too, like Nadines new Viper, but she cant drive for shit it seems, so it dont matter

I wouldn't mind having a go in the nova tbh, its not mine though so better clear that with the owner first

Its about 230bhp Stavros, it it even worth considering ? and how much is it before I think anymore about it

that the Nurse from Bath Steve?? loved her old Viper, didnt realise she had a new one

reckon a 200 bhp 205 will scrape the surface in FWD novice ?

Not many FWD or NA cars, just a few TypeR's, so yeah, a nicely sorted Nova or 205 should do nicely verus them.

Its about driver talent more than anything in club, some mega spec cars do fuck all, and some seemingly ordinary ones are right up with the best of them.

In Pro class its a little more insane, and most have driving skills as mental as the power

I dont think Nadine is the bird with the Viper from Bath, I think that was another woman with a Viper who everyone presumes is the woman who was on TV about it years ago
I may be wrong tho

But this is the woman who for years has had the mental Blue GT race replica viper thats been supercharged for a few years, always does TOTB etc.

Now she got a new viper, and its THE most badical car ive seen

New shape viper, looks like a proper LeMans GT racer, maybe it was, in satin black, its fucking immense.

Sounds good mate, is there a website for rules etc.. rather than ask you a million questions ?

Obviously I would want to be in novice, can pedal a nova round a track reasonably well though so could be a good laugh up against some jap stuff.

Viper sounds awesome

You obv underestimate how crap cossies are round a track if you think that mate

The rovers got decent power, decent suspension, decent brakes, light, and of course will be running proper tyres.
Might not have mega power and ultra trick stupid money bits like the Pro cars, but its got the fundamentals, enough to murder the current FWDs out there I reckon.

Even in club class your not gonna be able to bowl up to with your average powerful car with decent brakes and expect to get anywhere, tracks have corners, still need a fairly swift track car.

By sounds of it mate, you need to read the time attack website, and most of all, go to a couple of the events and have a look at whats going on...

i would have thought the rover would be MUCH better than a trimmed 300bhp saff with ok brakes.

has the rover not got a more powerfull engine than 300bhp
1.8t audi was it??

it was just my way of getting a comparison. the metro was no quicker than a average escos round bedford was it that video?
obviously the quicker you want to be would involve a good/race spec suspension and then weight reduction and all that. depends how serious you wanted to be i suppose money budgets and all that

4 meets in a season? And you have to pay for a seasons entry upfront by the looks of things. Ł1200 ish?

I must say i quite fancied giving the club ago. Don't know what in though. Problem is that now that elises are deemed a legal entry they will clean up.

Some strange cars in the club class.... a lexus GS300... jeez they must weigh nearly 2 tons!

Must say from what i saw there was a very varied level of driver ability in club class. Some looked like they belonged in the novice group at a track day!

Theres been 2 Elises in it from the start, and they certainly havent cleaned up.

GS300s weigh between 1600 and 1950 kg as standard depending on model (thats a few hundred kg of interior and shit to remove), but are basically a Mk4 Supra underneath (inc engine) and have been timed at over 200mph and so on in the past.

We support 3 customers cars at Time Attack - 2 of them are in Club Class - Bob is his 600+bhp Skyline R34 and Tom in his 500+bhp 200SX. Both of those are road cars used pretty much daily and both run standard boxes...

We've got our Yellow Evo 6/9 and we support Martin Green in the Orange Evo 5

All the cars are plastered in sponsor graphics etc mate.

You have to add a few small time attack sponsor graphics in various places on the car, but the rest is around to fuck as you wish

I did the first ever one at rockingham, was a right giggle, just a shame about the weather.

The rules have changed a fair bit I think now though.

Depends on how term 'an average escos' the one in the video was not average was it? The new car is miles better than the Metro in every aspect, compared to a 300hp Cosworth I would say its night and day different!!

Any excuse to post some pics ..
