My car's just died at the bottom of my road so may not show. Its an alt / charge prob as the batt light came on, rev counter went mad, lights dimmed then it cut out!! Started after 5mins tho so will have a poke about in the morning!

I just got in from work whot a fucking poxy night i had bloody lorry shutter broke both cables And from 0120am untill 0530am sat in Thatcham waiting for it to be fixed

I had no food on me so nick anther Unit (artic truck cab) to go into Reading to get a Kebab and chips
Then had fun Racing cars off the lights as its a 420bhp Unit Shame the limiter was still on but by fuck it got to 56mph in no time Spinning the wheels in 8th and 10th gear

Just back from the Hospital and they kept my wife in

She has improved a bit but will be in at least 48hrs.

Hi, Been driving my puma engined fiesta around for a couple of months now and have had a few probs with the battery light coming on every so often. usually when the car has been first stated then goes out after a while.

Last couple of days its been on constantly and ive noticed a bit of a lack of power low down (i thought my new ford clutch was slipping?!)

Tonight, Ive been out for about 50miles. Car has been ok until i was nearing my house. The following happened..

Rev counter died, heaters went HOT (these are linked somewhere, i know), then the lights and dials were dimming, i kept the revs high and drove to the end of my road. Car cut out at the bottom of the hill when i was changing into 2nd.

Everything went really dim, wouldn't start, starter solenoid just clicked. After 5mins it started ok and i drove home in 1st keeping the revs up. When i took the keys out my alarm went a bit mad.

Gonna try and start it in the morn and see what my charge like.

Any ideas? Alternator? A wire somewhere? There is a small plug on the top of the alternator, and a black 'earth?' strap at the front. is there anything else connected?

Sounds like the alternator. did you say it was 12v with engine off and 11.5 with it running? you want it to be 12+ 13 or 14 is good.

Just got back and tbh i thought some of the cars figs were a tad low to say the least

eg dingy got 428@ fly When last week he got 550ish but thay was playing with some sort of temp sensor on the dyno when i left

Also Nutter was also down on power ?

you could say that again...!

My STD mini should make 218...

it got 196 - thats 22 bhp down on the factory figure or to put it another way 10%!!!

Now I accept manufactures strect the truth - but not to the tune of 10%!!!

Still you can't beat Dyno Dynamic repatability or setup it really is the stuff to use for setups.

Power runs on Rolling Roads is a fun figure for the pub and the net LOL

as the evo lad who posted 612

me on the other hand, i made 90 @ the wheels

christian and becky's motor made 295 and there were a few others that made decent power, but they were all left with the feeling that there was more, but it just didn't appear

the guy in the focus 360 only achived 260 odd on his first run and then got 320, but not the 360 he was hoping for

and bad luck to radders who might have blown the gasket on his pulsar

i'll let the official officials post the resluts but a big to mr rad for sorting it all out, top day and the graphs presentation pack was also top notch

and i even caught nick smiling a few times as well thanks for the mag

for everyone who made it happen

one mroe thnk, i thought kester was goldie when i first saw him, then i was thinking "where's his gold teeth?"

He's still moaning mate about his little finger (poof!), as for the zvh i attacked it when i got back and found that the cam timing was well out, but i spose thats what happens when you rush about to get things done for days like today, anyway cam timing is spot on now and it pulls very very well so hopefully phone up monday morning and get a power run booked asap to see what its really made of 180-190 at the fly then ill be happy till he upgrades the managment side.
