LCDs are a lot brighter and have at least double the life span of your average plasma. I'd bought a 42", I did look massive when it was first installed, but you'll get used to the size quickly and regret not getting a bigger one in the end.

Who gives a shxt what your mates think, it's your money and you are the one who will have to live with the damn thing for the next couple of years, choose wisely.

i'm going with the "wire everything up and make sure it works" before putting it all in little hsleves and shit

the only propblem is that the cables need to be that long as the shorter ones are about 6 inches too short and the longer ones cost twice as much

so what the best one to have then.

looking for a 37-40".

not that bothered on the 1080 ones as i don't play on playstations or watch many films and the networks will not start broadcasting in HD until 2012.

i want a tv,stand, dvd recorder with a hard drive in it aswell.

not a lot really.

any ideas....not a shit make either.

look for people who do deliverys for electrical companys mate

infact ill ask as hes kind of taking orders at the min

though nothing is deff with this so like all things, be prepared

the fact hes a scouser though increases the chance it will happpen more than some tosser from london talking wet

honestly ive got soo much to owe the scousers for things at times i wanna move there,,, then i realise why i owe them so much and its a bit like marrying a porn star who you stole off another man,,, great idea and for a while everything is the nuts but the bitch is gonna start nobing a next man and take you back where you started but with half as much this time

cheeky coonts

i was going to buy a philips 50" but tha had speakers on the side which overhung
the good thing about this one is that it's got speakers side to side as well as along the bottomw, even though the guy in the shop said that there were no speakers in the side panels as it was just there for looking symetrical

the other thing you'll have to watchout for is them tellys that have bolt on speakers on the sides, makes it even wider

i'll take soem pics when the wall paper and shelves are up

all i need to do now is find myself an amp that has optical inputs

one other thing to remember is that, in the shops, they will be feeding their telly's hd signal, but it will still not show up the pics in true colours as trhey will change the settings for the shop floor lighting etc
and as soon as you get them home they always lok massive
i've got used to the 50" now and the 42" looks small in comparrison

i did notice all the dvd players were hd aswell.

i got a HD 1080 one, pointless really as i don't have anything to match it,my lad has the ps3 but that will not be going on it and i'm not going to buy a hd dvd player aswell, just don't use one enough.

Even the HD tv signal will not be broadcast until 2012, just trying to get you to spend more money on the new hd dvd's and sky hd.

all this hd shit, full of shite.
