Well me mate,not me..

He an get on the net,but as he`s on msn,but get get on web pages etc etc..what can he check,or what could be wrong with it??

I think he means he can get on msn but webpages dont work

Has he tried two different browsers? and also what firewall is he running?

He`s got sme free thing they installed when he brought it from PC world.but thats it...

As said above,he has internet access,as he can get on MSN,but he cant surf the net....

Its been working fine for 6months,but last few days its gone tits up on him...

Sounds like a DNS problem - tell him to reboot his router if he has one!!! Obviously you've tried rebooting the PC I take it??

I agree sounds dns. Check that in local area connection properties then tcp/ip internet option. Make sure it obtains the dns fromt he router (if i recall it says obtain automatically or something) If numbers are there then chnage it. Spyware has started doing this shit recntly, very annoying.
