Default Anyone on here dealt with PeterG recently for a manifold

I ordered (and paid up front for) two manifolds off him an absolutely pisstakingly long time ago now, and recently Ive heard nothing from him when I have emailed him.

I know that he was having some problems with his health and personal life, so just wondered if anyone else is in a similar boat and what they intended to do about it?

I really want the manifolds still, but its not looking like im ever going to get them at this rate, so im thinking I am going to need to look into getting the money back instead somehow (not sure how to do that as I paid by bank transfer!)

Andreas's PM was basically just asking me if I ordered direct from Peter or through one of his agents, and was saying if I had ordered through the agent he knows I would have got a refund easily.

Doesnt sound good at all

I feel very let down TBH, I spoke to Peter a fair bit and he didnt seem like the sort of person who would mess me around

send him a polite email/letter along the lines of:
hello, you've got my money, i haven't had my stuff
you said it would be a fw weeks and now it's a few months, can you either send me the stuff or the money within the next few days etc
or else violence may ensue
regards
chip

and see what he says

at least that way no one can say you didn't give him a chance eh

I sent him a chase up email a couple of months ago, I sent him an email asking for my money back a couple of weeks ago.

I contacted a friend of his who had a word with him about it, he said to his friend that my emails had ended up in his junk folder, and he was sorry and would get back to me.

Ive heard nothing since (despite the fact he now definately KNOWS im after an update)

So sadly, as things stand at the moment, I really am in a position where I can only advise people to just totally avoid dealing with him, as I would imagine im going to get no end of hassle trying to take legal action against someone in another country to recover the money that it apepars he has basically stolen from me

That was well thought through wasnt it

threatening violence, to a man in another country is one thing, but doing it at all is a sure fire way to get your own name put in mud!

Good luck chip - i've never dealt with him but im hoping you get the right result

Gordon, thanks very much.

Im still hoping at this stage that its basically all just a bit of a misunderstanding and my order has somehow got put to one side.

Most people seem to speak highly of Peter, so this wasnt the treatment I was expecting.

I was very understanding when peter told me about not being well, but to hear that in the mean time he has been taking more orders and promising delivery dates despite still not sorting mine out looks very bad indeed, especially as one of them only needed posting as he had it in stock!
So even if he couldnt manage to make the other one, he could have easily arranged to post the one he had in stock, thats no more strenuous for him to arrange than it is for him to be taking other people's money etc, so he was certainly in a position to do at least that much

It didnt and still doesnt read as a joke to me!

Do you know any users on here who may be close to him who could maybe go and see him and either get the manifolds to you / refund to you if you have no joy else where? all friendly of course.

Gordon knows him well and is having a word with him for me.

Apparently peter says he has tried to contact me, so maybe its just an email problem.

I certainly hope thats the case as I do still REALLY want these manifolds as they look fantastic.

You mean you haven't worked it out yet? The CIA made Elvis your postman, he stole your manifold, and sent them on to Diana, who is now building the ultimate engine, as she got bored of her black bean tin S1.

Chip, i also spoke to him a while back about a manifold for mine - the guy was extremely helpfull and covered every question i had in quick time.

im also suprised as id never have thought from the way he came across that he would knock anyone.

have you tried calling the company instead of repeatedly mailing them?
