Basically about 18months ago I purchased a FinePix Z1...but unfortunately its now gone tits up - it leaves contoured type lines on the captured picture......soooo....

Fujifilm want £99.99 to repair it or I can trade it in for a new camera and pay roughly £120-£130......nice idea methinks!!!

I have the choice of a few cameras and the ones I have picked out are...

FinePix F45fd or the FinePix Z5fd (I do also have the option of the FinePix S6500fd - nearly SLR type - but I want one that I can take out & about & slip it into my pocket on a night out for example!).

I've looked at a few reviews & still cant make my mind up, I wasnt OVERLY impressed by the quality of the original Z1 to be honest but things seem to have improved since it the range was introduced.

Anyone had any experience of either of the models I'm looking at???

got my GF a Casio Exilim s500 off ebay for £100 with a docking station. Its only 5MP but the picture quality is great, all the features are cool and movies are very good.

If your not bothered about the dock you could probably get the z1000 (10MP) for about £115. Only got the dock cos she looses cables all the time

Do a quick search on eBay, Bargain!

 

my dads just bought the ixus 60 from canon

excellent camera, and a massive screen on it (good cos he's blind as a bat)

its so nice i'm buying myself one in a few weeks



p.s. does it have to be a Fuji camera??

 

Well in the grand scale of things no I dont suppose it does, its just Fuji are willing to part ex my old Z1 faulty camera for £40 so it just seems the natural thing to do!!

 

if you took your avatar picture with the camera I think the contour line right up that pretty girls arse and spine should be there!
