Classic Ford show @ Pod this Sunday...
Now....I'm off this weekend for the first time in fuck me ages...
With the cossie now fixed and the recent nice weather i was thinking of going....But never been to this particular show though...
Would love to have a look round all the Mk1+2 Escorts etc etc
Also wouldn't mind having a blast down the track as i haven't been to pod Since August last year
I see on another post that a few poeple are going..
Is it recommended. Cheers.. Smit

Like watching all the fast old skool stuff
Might bite the bullet and go
Remember at a Ford Sport weekend there was a Mk2 blue escort with a Karl engine etc etc had a GT series blower and i think about 600ish bhp.. Had some slicks on the back and think ran 10's
One particular run looked like something was wrong as he was changing gears quite slowly
Then see him in the pits and he was go agreesive (sp?) going from 1st into 2nd that he snapped the gearstick have way down What a fuckin animal!

I'll be there.. camping overnight beforehand with the turbosport lot so expect i'll be staggering around ruined on sunday. if i'm not too bad i might even have acrack on the strip in my mate's B.R.E. nova which should be worth a laugh.

if the weather is anything like it was last week, i wouldnt suggest to anyone to camp in the field by the start line, as it was tottally fucked
best option was the other one at the end of the strip, which was atleast flat

there will definitely be plenty of traders.. dependingon what you want to buy.

Best show of the year IMHO,brilliant atmosphere if you camp over and
not too bad to get on the strip.

F.A.O anyone who is traveling up the M1 to the show. It will be shut from 9th june 9pm to 9am Sunday 10th between J8 and J9 while they demolish a bridge.

Smit i got my tickets and car pass yesterday, weather is looking good. Pete-a-pan rang me yesterday and he wants to come to.
Really enjoyed the show last year
