just got back from the vauxhall show [went with a mate] and there was loads of nova turbos and astra turbos getting well into the 12sec 1/4s and one doing 12 flat ,so why do so many big power escorts and fiestas do so bad with similar power??

For one they just dont hook up off the line like vauxhalls do and a 1.6 tends to not drop the power as nicely IMO.
Not sure if you saw the blue Nova van there but fook me that has some potential.
500hp Cosworth Management, BIG turbo, awesome bespoke inlet and exhaust manifolds, he gave it a bit on one run and still managed to cross the line at 117, plenty more to come from that car.
Gaz'd ran a 12 dead in the Corsa but then blew it up, I'm guessing they melted a piston again.
Top day, I'm burnt and hungover as fook but it was worth it lol

one of my mates muff, HUGE potential but only just been finished so having a few teething probs atm

i went up there last night and camped with the vauxsport lot, had a good laugh but left about 1 as the show wasnt really that interesting being all vauxhalls, i was fucked and didnt wanna get stuck in the cues on the way out.
were some very very quick cars there!!

saw it first on a damp january day most 4x4 cars spinning all 4 wheels off the line then this thing put in a 12 totally anhilating an Rx7 in the process
massive respect to the looks too although the nitrous logos have ruined it
