What does the JIC stand for ref oil cooler threads?

JIC stands for Joint Industries Council

-12 means that the thread on the cooler will be 3/4 x 16 UNF with a 37 degree flare on the end

-8 is 3/4 x 16 jic.....is it not...

-12 is 1 1/16 x 12 jic....??

-12 is huge we use for a the dry fuel fill

According to that site that gives the info, just didnt know what the JIC stood for

They are huge connection sizes, what you using the cooler on?

The jic thread pitch is exactly that of UNF.....

I'm not.
It's just a nice big oil cooler I've been given, but needed to know its spec etc should I want to sell it

mines -12 cooler on return line of my 4 port dry sump set up may be thats why its so big ian ?

I'm saying its bad just bigger than normal, I was probably getting a little over zealous with 'huge' lol....

On a the dry sump setup of course its spot on....
