Default Taxing scrap!

As many peeps will know my other blue oval project has gone to the car dealership in the sky.

As requested we sent the V5 and all the history to the insurance company. We have subsequently received the cheque and cashed it.

This mornings post we received a reminder to pay the tax at the end of this month! We phoned the DVLA and notified them the car was no longer ours and had been written off. Only to be told we would liable for any fines on the car if it wasn't taxed The bloke was thick as sh*t and we just went round in circles

oranoco when ya recive the fine tell the exactly what hapened and ya informed dvla and the request to go court and do not cash cheque till you have been court i done that when i never retaxed the 1300 and never filled in a sorn ( and still aint to this day) got a fine, sent a letter off saying that and i got a reply in 48 hours , saying no further action this time and my cheque sent back

they are just trying it on as i asked dvla local office about it and they said tough mate ya gotta pay the fine end off

as long as ya can prove it was wrote off they they wont do hite, they just trying to get a extra buck

as long as all the think people pay it too then the 1% whp do write a letter will get off a they got loads of money comming in they dont need the hassle of going court

Good plan.

Don't fancy getting stung for a fine on a car I don't even have anymore.
