Default timing for efi engine

what should the timing be,the haynes manual says 12degrees btdc for efi xr3i on tickover but would it be different if it was turbo, also what should it roughly be at say 2000rpm,3000rpm and so on,also does the ecu adjust the timing

?????

The ECU will adjust the timing, all you can do is adjust the static timing. If you modify the engine your best be is an aftermarket ECU so you can adjust the timing (and fuelling), especially if you go turbo.
