Default MOT law on rear seatbelts

My car is a 1993 XR2i that i currently stripping out.

If i completly remove the rear belts (not just the anchor points but the whole assembly) will it pass?

I think it must do with the amount of moddern stripped out cars for road use but i just wanted to make sure.

if u keep the rear seats in u need em, cos theyve been fitted from factory, if u take th eseatbelts out then u need to remove the seats so their is no need for them.

if there are rear seats it needs belts

if there are rear belts it needs seats

if no seats are in there and no belt or anything it will pass.

cheers guys its being totally stripped (IE just two front seats)

So if either the rear belts or seats is just left in then it will fail
